Folio, title, dedication, introduction and text. 30 hand coloured aquatint plates after Gilpin. Modern 3/4 red straight-grained morocco with gilt in rule and an earlier lettering piece to upper board. Raised bands in gilt to spine, marbled edges and coloured end papers. This work was intended as a watercolour artist's handbook and was marketed accordingly.
