[To the praise of God and the Most Holy and Glorious Virgin Mary.] Published in 19th century brown velvet with gilt brass fittings, and fore edge clasps. 4to (20 x 12 cm) printed on fine vellum, 33 lines, text ruled in pale red, metal cut illustrations hand-illuminated in liquid gold and colours in the manner of manuscript illumination throughout. 18 full-page illustrations, surrounded by architectural borders in gold, with numerous smaller illustrations. Binding has some slight rubbing to the velvet, joint likely repaired. Internally, generally clean, margins uniformly lightly age toned. A few leaves exhibit minor smudging. Modern gift inscription on front free endpaper. The recto of the first leaf has the title with Hardouyn's imprint. This way/is a luxury product, competing directly with manuscript productions.
