WEIBEL, Jakob Samuel.
Voyage Pittoresque dans l'Oberland Bernois en 20 vues.

This present work of views of the Bernese Oberland was created as a collaboration between the Bernese painter Gabriel Lory fils, who resided in Neuchâtel from 1805, and the Neuchâtel scholar César-Henri Monvert (1784-1848), who wrote the descriptive text. Around 1820-1840, Lory fils' depictions were among the most successful of the Swiss Alps, alongside those of Alexandre Calame (1810-1864) and Maximilian de Meuron (1785-1850).
